The Soybean Processing Unit at MCT’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Latur has been established to demonstrate value addition technologies for soybean and promote rural entrepreneurship through scientific processing of soybean into nutritious, marketable products. The unit serves as a practical training and demonstration Centre for farmers, farm women, rural youth, Self Help Groups (SHGs), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and agri-entrepreneurs.

The processing unit is equipped with modern stainless-steel food-grade machinery for hygienic production and packaging of soybean-based products. Demonstrations focus on improving product quality, increasing shelf life, ensuring food safety, and enhancing farmers’ income through value addition.
