Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Latur, established under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and managed by Manjara Charitable Trust, functions as a district-level agricultural knowledge and resource centre. Besides its mandated activities such as On-Farm Testing (OFT), Frontline Demonstrations (FLDs), and farmers’ training programmes, KVK Latur has adopted several innovative extension approaches to ensure rapid dissemination of agricultural technologies, climate-resilient farming practices, and livelihood enhancement among farming communities. The centre integrates Information and Communication Technology (ICT), participatory learning methods, field-based demonstrations, and entrepreneurship development to improve the adoption of scientific agricultural practices.
