The Sericulture Unitat MCT’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Latur, established under Manjara Charitable Trust, serves as a demonstration, training, and technology dissemination centre for promoting silk production(Sericulture) as a sustainable and profitable agri-based enterprise. The unit demonstrates scientific mulberry cultivation and silkworm rearing technologies, enabling farmers, rural youth, and women entrepreneurs to adopt sericulture as an additional source of income. The unit supports the Government of Maharashtra’s sericulture development programmes and works in coordination with the District Sericulture Department.
