The Apiculture (Beekeeping) Unit of Manjara Charitable Trust’s Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Latur has been established to promote scientific beekeeping as a profitable allied agricultural enterprise. The unit serves as a demonstration, training, and technology dissemination centre for farmers, rural youth, women entrepreneurs, students, and aspiring beekeepers across Latur district.

Honey bees play a vital role in crop pollination, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable agriculture. In addition to producing high-quality honey and other hive products, beekeeping significantly enhances the yield and quality of many fruit, vegetable, oilseed, and pulse crops through efficient pollination.
