On Farm Testing (OFT), aims at testing new technology or an idea on farmers field, under farmers conditions and management, by using farmers own practice as control.

In 100 Lits of water + Spraying of Liquid bioinoculants of Acetobactor& PSB 1 Lit. each in 300 Lit. of water after 6-8 wk and 12-18 wk of planting respectively.

Assessment of TNAU Automatic Insect Removal Trap for management of store grain pests in stored Cereal/Pulse seed

2014-15

T1 : Farmers are not doing any operation or uses traditional methods for management of store grain pests for seeds storage

T2: Spraying of Malathion 50% EC @ 1% on storage place and use of Fumigant Aluminium Phosphide 3 gm/one ton seed for 48 hours Fumigation.

T 3: Technology Assessed : Use of TNAU Automatic Insect Removal Trap per 50kg of gunny bag [The insects such as rice weevil, lesser grain borer, red flour beetle, saw toothed beetle, which are commonly found attacking stored grains can be removed automatically by storing grains in this container. ]
